TheFrontier - Cool Space to meet, greet, learn, and do business.

I learned about it back in the summer of 2014, when it was an 1970's office maze abandoned by RTI International.  RTP Foundation has put some significant work into it and it officially launched January 15, 2015.

"The RTP Foundation exists to make the Park a great place to be, whether you're working, exercising, or hanging out. We want to offer TheFrontier as a community space for informal business and social activity, and as a hub for new innovations." -Anna Rhyne, RTP Foundation

There's no charge to come and work or hang out, which comes with wifi, coffee, and meeting rooms that can be reserved online.  Offices are available starting at $300/mo including utilities - very reasonable.  There are regular events both educational and business focused.  I think it's a great space, but you'll have to come visit to decide for yourself. My favorite feature is the elevator, which is wrapped to look like a spaceship cockpit.

No picture of the elevator - it wouldn't do it justice - you just have to experience it.
